BIOGRAPHY

Brooklyn-based Keltie Ferris approaches painting with an attention to bold colors, complex layering, and experimentation. He has gained attention for his pixelated and abstract large-scale paintings, as well as his recent series made using his own body as a printing matrix. Across his œuvre, Ferris captures not only gesture and emotion but also an expression of energy.

Ferris received his undergraduate degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and his graduate degree from the Yale School of Art in 2006, where she studied under Peter Halley. He is in the collection of the Saatchi Gallery, London, and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO. The Speed Art Museum in Louisville presented *O*P*E*N*, a major survey of Ferris’s works.
