Ray Johnson, "Letter from Ray Johnson to Lorna Halper, postmark March 8, 1947". 1947. Drawing of various angled lines to create triangular shapes and a semi-circle all with a "+" on top. Below is written in pencil: "FRIDAY / DEAR LORNA, / PICASSO DRAWING ARRIVED IN / THE JAY BOX. PHOTOS OF / WORKERS AND PAINTING FOR / YOU. GO TO JACQUES / SELIGMANN GALLERY. TELL / ME WHAT YOU THINK OF / THE UNDER 25 SHOW THERE." Written in pencil vertically along the right edge: "AM RE READING ALBERS NOTES AND RELIVING IT ALL, MORE AND MORE ORDER. I MUST GO FOR LONG WALKS / AND EXPERIENCE NATURE AND ALSO ALWAYS LIVE IN THE UTMOST PRESENT. SO MUCH WORK TO DO AND THOUGHTS LOVE RAY / SPRING COMES TO NORTH CAROLINA" Written in pencil along envelope edge: “PS I AM COMING TO NY MARCH 29-APRIL 6. WILL YOU BE THERE?”
