Description

Large heavy rounded glass core disc with a larger rounded core disc that is cut in half on opposite sides. Various colors of murrini and lattacino are scattered along the top.

The artist first came up with the design for what would become the Floral Core Series in the mid-1970s. The idea was that a solid glass form sandwhiched between a larger solid glass form that was split open. These two pieces on the edge are called "wings". Both the wings and cores would be covered in floral murrini.
