FACULTY MEETING BULLETIN
Monday, December 15, 1941

I. Announcements:
1. Bruce Simonds has sent the questions for Maude Dabbs’ written examinations which Maude will take on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Maude will play for Mr Simonds and take her oral examinations at the School of Music at Yale University on January 3.
2. Mr Joseph Baordman Jamieson has accepted the invitation of the Board of Fellows to become a member of the Advisory Council of Black Mountain College.
3. The Faculty will meet this evening at 7:30 o’clock in the New Building.
4. Ann and Ken will entertain the Faculty with a party in the Kurts apartment building at 9:30 o’clock this evening.
5. This evening at 10:00 o’clock, President Roosevelt will talk on “The Bill of Rights”.
6. There will be a meeting of the Radio Committee on Tuesday at 1:00 PM in Room 6 in South Lodge to plan the Black Mountain College program series for January to April. Visitors with suggestions will be welcome.
7. There will be a meeting of the Board of Fellows in the Roundhouse on Tuesday at 5:00 o’clock.
8. A number of students and several teachers will go to Asheville on Tuesday evening to see the Players Guild production of Clare Booth’s “The Women”.
9. The madrigal group will sing Christmas music for the American Association of University Women at their meeting in the George Vanderbilt Hotel in Asheville on Wednesday evening. Buthabeth Kruger and Trudi Straus, accompanied by Dr Heinrich Jalowetz, will also be on the program.
10. There will be a Christmas program of music on Friday evening at 7:20 o’clock.
11. On Saturday evening Professor John V Allicott, head of the Art Department of the University of North Carolina, will arrive for a brief visit. While here he wants to discuss his proposed February exhibition of modern architecture in North Carolina at Chapel Hill and for subsequent tours.

II. Reports:
Mrs Albers will give an account of her visit yesterday to Lees-McRae School at Banner Elk, North Carolina.

III. For Discussion:
The practicality of repeating “The Physician in Spite of Himself” on Thursday evening.
Tommy Brooks’ Senior Division plan.
The work of several students.
Consideration of the nomination of Leslie Paul to the Board of Fellows.
