FACULTY MEETING BULLETIN
Tuesday, February 3, 1942

I. Announcement:
1. The War Planning Committee will meet this evening at 7:00 o’clock in Room 10 in the New Building.
2. The Faculty will meet this evening at 8:00 o’clock in the Kocher Room chiefly to summarize the fall term work of the students.
3. There will be a general meeting tomorrow evening at 7:30 o’clock in the dining hall.
4. The second term of the 1941-42 session will begin on Thursday morning. Students and teachers will hold the classes listed for Thursday on the new schedule.
5. On Thursday evening at 7:00 o’clock in the Kocher Room the four delegates to the International Student Service Conference in Chapel Hill last week-end will make reports on the sessions.
6. Bob Wunsch will leave on Saturday afternoon for Newport News, Virginia, where he will work for four days with the teachers in the Negro high school. This is part of his assignment as a member of the Negro Secondary School Study.
7. There will be a concert on Saturday evening, beginning at 9:00 o’clock. Dr Jalowetz will announce the musicians and the program tomorrow.
8. The next Sunday evening Black Mountain College radio program will be on Walt Whitman. Will Hamlin is preparing the script.
9. Senior Division examinations will be given during the second week in the new term.
Students who wish to take the examinations (even for practice) should consult with their advisers.
Teachers will please hand in before Saturday, February 7, their questions to the Chairman of the Examination Committee.
II. Requests:
The office requests that each adviser hand in to the offices as soon as possible:
a). A summary of the fall-term work of each of his advisees.
b). The filled-out course cards of each student in his classes.
c). The carbon copies of the letters written to the parents of his advisees.
III. Reports:
The faculty will summarize the full-term work of the students.
