APPOINTMENTS
The Board of Fellows announces the appointment for the 1942-43 session of the following.
To the teaching staff:
Frederick Cohen, Assistant Professor of Music
Dr Fritz Hansgirg, Professor of Chemistry
Elsa Kahl, Consultant in Dramatics
Dr Edward Lowinsky, Assistant Professor of Music
LB Voigt, Instructor in Botany and Landscape Architecture
To the office staff:
Gorman E Mattison, Assistant to the Rector
Mrs Elsie Schomer, Secretary in the Business Office
Mrs Dorothy Trayer, Faculty Secretary
H McGuire Wood, Assistant Business Manager
The Board is at present considering several candidates for the vacancy in the social sciences. The Board is also trying to find someone adequate for the vacancy in physics.

PROPOSALS FOR THE OPENING OF COLLEGE
A general meeting on Monday evening, this meeting to include a brief musical program followed by statements on the purposes and ideas of the College by Bob Wunsch and Dr Jalowetz.
A general meeting on Tuesday to acquaint old and new students with:
The work program
The dining hall
The telephone
The library
The curriculum
The week of class visits for new students
The store
Senior division exams
Advisers

PROPOSALS FOR SCHEDULE OF CLASSES
A tentative schedule for the first week, classes beginning on Tuesday. Final schedule made for the year at the end of the first week period.
Final schedule made for the year at the end of the first week period.

MEANS OF GETTING AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE TO NEW AND OLD STUDENTS
A mimeographed sheet in each room telling meal hours, telephone directions, transportation arrangements, chiefly the charges for trips, mail system, store purpose, scope, and hours

ORGANIZATION AGAINST FIRE HAZARDS
The appointment of a fire-chief and the adoption of regulations for the year seems necessary.

NOTES ON HOUSING
Temporarily:
The Cohens will live in South Lodge until the Mattisons vacate the Little Cottage
The Hansgirgs will live in South Lodge until the upper story of Meadows’ Inn is completed
The Lowinskys will live in South Lodge until and outside stairway to the Steinau apartment at Black Dwarf has been built
The Mattisons will live in the Little Cottage until the lower floor of Meadows’ Inn is completed.
Permanently:
The Cohens will live in the Little Cottage
The Hansgirgs will more than likely live on the upper floor of Meadows’ Inn
The Lowinskys will occupy the large room and an adjoining smaller room in Black Dwarf
The Mattisons will live on the lower floor of Meadows’ Inn
Mrs Schomer will live at Black Dwarf
Mrs Trayer will live in Mountain Stream
Mr Voigt will live in the room in the Studies Building near the Biology Laboratory
The Woods will occupy the apartment in the Studies Building formerly used by the Babcocks.
