CALENDAR:
The weekly newscast and commentary will be given this evening at 7:00 o’clock in the Lobby of South Lodge by Dick Bush-Brown, Bill McLaughlin, and Herbert Miller.
There will be a meeting of the students in the Lobby of South Lodge immediately after the newscast this evening.
Captain Joseph W Jailer will talk informally this evening at 8:30 o’clock in the Faculty Room on “The Animal Kingdom.”
There will be a meeting of the Board of Fellows on Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock.
Ira de A Reid will address the College Community on Wednesday evening at 8:15 o’clock in the College Dining Hall on “The Dilemmas of Social Planning.”
There will be an informal concert in the Dining Hall on Saturday evening at 8:30 o’clock. Trudi Straus, Gretel Lowinsky, and Edward Lowinsky play Handel’s Violin-Viola-Piano Sonata; Edward Lowinsky will play several preludes and fugues from Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, Second Part; and Trudi Straus, Anna Schauffler, and Heinrich Jalowetz will play Mozart’s Trio in G Major for Violin, Viola and Piano.
There will be a reading of Sophocles’ “Oedipus Rex” in Bob Wunsch’s Study on Sunday evening at 8:00 o’clock.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Max Dehn will leave on Thursday afternoon for Washington, DC. He will return to the College this week end.
The Board of Fellows has granted a leave of absence to Ted Dreier for the 1945-46 Session.
Bob Wunsch will leave tomorrow morning, by bus, for Raleigh on business for the College.
Helen Wright Marden left on Wednesday afternoon for a two week’s vacation in Boston.
