Silver footed bowl with leaf decoration around base.

Dick Shuford is a contributing quality silversmith.

The leaf decoration is based on the acanthus, a Mediterranean plant with jagged leaves. It was first used used by the ancient Greeks to decorate buildings and has become a popular deisgn motif in decorative arts and architecture.
