Description

Three translucent bags stacked on top of each other with a purple one on the bottom, blue in the middle, and green on top.

This sculpture is typical of the first works Littleton and Vogel created together in which they were experimenting with bag forms. The shape of the bags reflects the fluidity of glass when it is still hot. According to Littleton and Vogel, in the Acro Bags series the bags show human relationships with the bigger bags represent parent-like figures, and the smaller bags represent children. In the case of this particular work, there is one parent-like figure and two children.
